This Cookie Policy explains how Spryly™ ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on spryly.io.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function properly, remember your preferences, and (in some cases) understand how visitors use the site.

2. Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. Spryly™ uses authentication cookies set by Supabase to keep you signed in and to securely identify your session. Without these cookies, you would not be able to log in or access your dashboard.

Preference Cookies

Spryly™ may use local storage or cookies to remember display preferences, such as your dashboard layout or sort order, so your settings persist between visits.

Analytics Cookies

These are only set if you accept them. When you first visit spryly.io we ask whether you consent to analytics. Until you accept, Google Analytics is not loaded, no request is made to Google, and none of the cookies below are set. If you decline, nothing changes about how the Service works for you.

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Service. Google Analytics then sets the following cookies:

These cookies collect information such as pages visited, time on site, browser and device type, and approximate location. This data is processed by Google in aggregate and is not used to personally identify you. You can opt out at any time using Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Cookieless Analytics

We also use Fathom Analytics to measure page views and a small number of product actions, such as starting a scan or sending us a message. Fathom is a privacy-focused alternative to Google Analytics: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, collects no personal data, and does not track you across other websites. Its measurements are anonymous and aggregate, and there is no profile of you to opt out of.

Because Fathom is not capable of identifying you and reads and writes nothing on your device, it runs without asking for consent — there is nothing for you to accept or decline. Declining analytics cookies above still leaves Fathom running, and still leaves you with no cookies from us beyond the strictly necessary ones.

3. Third-Party Cookies

If you connect a GitHub or GitLab account for repository scanning, those providers may set their own cookies during the authorization or installation process. These are governed by GitHub's and GitLab's own cookie and privacy policies, not this one.

4. Your Choice, and Changing It

Analytics cookies are off until you accept them, and accepting is entirely optional. You can change your decision at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page — declining after having accepted also deletes the Google Analytics cookies already on your device.

Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie, so declining leaves you with no cookies from us beyond the strictly necessary ones described above. Clearing your browser storage will reset the choice and we will ask again.

5. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings, including blocking or deleting cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to Spryly™ or using core features of the Service.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
